Week 8: TRANSLATOR
TASK 8: OUR PLE (PERSONAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT)
This weekly task was about talking about our PLE (Personal Learning Environment). To do so, we had to individually complete a google form regarding task 5 about ethics in which we had to evaluate some tools according to a rubric.
DEVICE: for this task, it was essential since we had to classify, depending on the tool chosen, through which device it can be accessed.
PLE: the Personal Learning Environment describes the tools, communities, and services that constitute the individual educational platforms that we use to direct our own learning and pursue educational goals.
SPACE: It is very important the space where you work and use those tools so that it can change the way of working.
DIAGRAM: Regarding the task we had to elaborate a diagram in which we had to connect and relate every tool that we talked about in related to the three aspects of the PLE.
TOOL: In order to complete this task and, most important of all, to create and describe our Personal Learning Environment.
Those important aspects during the realization of the task to highlight are: the reflection and assessment of the tool used by the five of us, the elaboration of a diagram, and, also, the explanation of our diagram learning and making us realize the relation and importance of them in our lives in order to learn.
With this type of activity not only we could learn about the functions and uses of the tool that we use on a daily basis in our learning process, but also we learnt about our PLE (Personal Learning Environment) seeing which tools we use, the spaces where we access to them, and changes of the management of those tool depending on the devices that we use to get to them and the space. Once we know how our PLE is, we can change whatever we think that it’s not working in order to create the best learning environment.
On the other hand, at the time of the presentation of the activity in class, our diagram was composed in several parts, so it was more difficult to have an overview during the presentation. So, for a correction of that, we should have elaborated a more concrete or not so big diagram, which can easily have an overview.
